Foot Reflex Session
 
All of the body's parts are mapped out on the feet as reflex points.  These reflex points have a direct correlation to the organs, joints, muscles, glands, and lymphatic systems.  By applying pressure with the fingers, thumb, knuckles and probes the joints, cells, organs and energy centers are stimulated, relaxed, and balanced allowing the body to heal itself and remove unwanted toxins.

What to Expect During Your Foot Reflex Session
 
Wear comfortable clothing.
 
Foot reflex applies pressure to the reflex points on your bare feet and ankles.  It may also include work on the lower legs to relieve tension and pain.
 
Some points may be quite tender.  It is important to work these points out so your body can receive the most benefits from the session.
 
Upon arrival, remove shoes and socks.  Bring bottle water to drink during the session and continue to drink water following your session so as to flush out unwanted toxins that are being released.  To enhance your session and relaxation soft music will be played and candles are lit.
 
You will be given a paper explaining what you may expect following your session.  Foot reflex is a natural process to restore balance, relieve tension and stress in the body.  This will increase circulation to all the cells, organs and tissue.  This will also activate you lymph and kidney systems to cleanse and remove toxins from the body.  There are no side effects but, as in all bodywork, sometimes these systems become more active during the next few days while the body is cleansing.  This is perfectly natural.
 
How many treatments will I need?
 
The number of treatments varies and is determined by the client's health and reasons for seeking reflexology.  But in general, results from reflexology can be immediate or often times subtle and are cumulative.  Thus, you are more likely to see greater benefits from regular sessions (for example; once a week for 4 weeks). Then try coming every other week and see how you feel, to once a month.  After a few weeks you may be able to move to coming every other month which would be considered maintenance  If you begin to have new problems or your health issues return you can always schedule treatments at more frequent intervals.  You be the guide on how you are feelings and any health issues you may have.
